Let’s help support our fellow Union brothers and sisters!
This is a message from Tim Tayloe (Local 833 president).
Tim is asking for a mass picket of the Sheboygan southside Piggly Wiggly from 10 am until noon on Sunday Sept. 11th. Those that are in our local, other locals, and any supporters of labor are highly encouraged to show up in support. By now we know just how important it is to get community support!
The employees there are being stripped of their union rights. We want to show our support as their union supported us during our strike. They donated $5,000 to Local 833 during our strike last year.
In addition -all of the items in our food pantry during the strike were purchased directly from the southside Piggly Wiggly, the only reason being- they were union. We also purchased around $8,000 in food and supplies from them during our strike.
This is an embarrassment to the community, and to Piggly Wiggly themselves.
