UNAC supports the resistance to the Dakota Access pipeline being led by Standing Rock Sioux and other Native American Tribes

UNAC expresses its solidarity with those resisting the Dakota Access pipeline. Members of UNAC groups, including UNAC administrative committee member Sara Flounders, co-director of the International Action Center, have gone to Standing Rock to be with the Earth and Water protectors. SELF-DETERMINATION FOR THE SYRIAN PEOPLE

The US war for regime change in Syria has taken a new and dangerous turn with the recent bombing of Syrian forces, which were fighting ISIS extremists. The bombing led to a temporary victory for ISIS and fireworks between the U.S. and Russia at the UN. This has been coupled with an increase in war propaganda, which usually means an escalation of war.

WEST POINT ANTI-WAR PROTEST SET FOR MONDAY, SEPT. 26

In solidarity with the protest at the Pentagon, a “Stop the U.S. Imperial Wars” protest will be held Monday, September 26, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the West Point United States Military Academy’s Thayer Gate in downtown Highland Falls, NY, the same day as the first U.S. presidential debate.

The West Point protest is calling on the United States to totally disengage militarily from wars in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, Iraq, Syria and Libya and for a halt in all U.S. drone attacks.
