Congressional leaders are at it again, trying to pull a fast one on working families. Backed by corporations that want to see us work more for less, they’re unleashing a bill to allow companies to stop paying overtime.

Help us protect overtime pay for millions of people working now and in the future. Write to your representative TODAY and tell them to reject this scheme.

The deceptively-named “Working Families Flexibility Act” would allow corporations to offer comp time to people who work more than 40 hours a week, instead of paying overtime. What’s more, there’s no guarantee that individuals could use their earned comp time when they need time off for emergencies, caring for loved ones, or any other reason.

They can’t fool us with this bad bargain.

We can’t afford to be overworked and underpaid. Everyone who works for a living needs to be paid for the hours they work. Write your representative NOW to oppose the gutting of overtime pay.

Americans are ready for solutions from our elected leaders so more of us can earn a decent living and provide for our families. Instead, some members of Congress want to see how much they can rip us off to help their CEO buddies take even more profits. These are the same politicians and lobbyists who attempted to slash Medicaid, give a tax cut to healthcare industry billionaires, and who are gunning to repeal the long-awaited increase in overtime pay.
