October 4: Milwaukee supports people in prisons

Hosted by Black and Pink: Milwaukee

2727 W Fond du Lac, Milwaukee Public Library, 6-7:30 P.M.

There is a broad coalition in Milwaukee of currently & formerly incarcerated people and supporters, that supports people in prisons, opposes inarceration, and organizes to challenge the prison industrial complex. Join us at the large community room at the Center Street library, on October 4th, from 6pm to 7:30pm, to learn how you can strengthen these efforts with us!

We’ll be processing mail from incarcerated people, matching people up with pen-pals, providing free letter-writing supplies – including postage, collecing signatures for EXPO’s campaign to close down MSDF, among other prisoner support work.

At this gathering, there will be opportunities to learn more about, and get involved in big & small ways with:
Black and Pink: Milwaukee
EXPO – EX-Prisoners Organizing
IWW Incarcerated Workers Organizing Committee

Admission is free.
Location is accesible.
All supporters are welcome
