Madison, January 8: 8 More Cops?

The Finance Committee will be voting on whether to add 8 more police officers and 3 more squad cars at the cost of $600,000 per year. This was introduced at the council meeting on January 2, goes to Finance on January 8th and back to Council on January 16th! The city can move FAST when it wants to . . . and I think its clear they are rushing this through before there can be more discussion on the OIR report and its recommendations.
