An inclusive and fun party that delves deep into 20th century soul, funk, latin, and disco music via the Get Down DJs extensive collection of rare original 45s. This isn’t the overplayed top 40 soul hits you hear at the grocery store -the playlists are full of deep, raw, and powerful soulful music that you’d be hard pressed to hear anywhere else on the planet!
For our March party we will be playing a ton of local soul legend HARVEY SCALES’ 45s, Harvey sadly passed this February. Fortunately for all of us, he left a rich legacy of funky music that will resonate for generations to come! Rest in Power, Mr Scales.
