Budgets are moral documents. They turn policy into reality and can make life much better or worse for millions of people across Wisconsin and the nation. What we dedicate resources to is where our collective priorities lie. It’s past time that Wisconsin re-prioritize.
The Budget Action Workshops will give you the knowledge, tools and relationships to make real change for real people in Wisconsin.
In the half-day training you will learn:
– How the budget process works
– How to testify for the Joint Finance Committee (JFC) in person, in writing, and over the web.
– How to create an effective personal narrative and to ensure these issues are the top of the public discourse.
– How to build teams and develop tactics that work within your own community for long-term, results-focused, people-driven organizing while learning how to work with our statewide coalition for the JFC committee meetings and have fun while doing it.
Together we’ve got to be bold, innovative, and reach beyond to win this fight.
So your first task, as you fill out this form, is to make sure you sign up two additional people because we’ve got work to do!
