Stop Evictions and Foreclosures, Cancel the Rents & End Racist Police Terror!
Wisconsin State Capitol – 12 NOON – 4 P.M.
Since the murder of George Floyd by the Minneapolis police department millions of people have participated in thousands of demonstrations in every state to demand an end to racist police terror and the immediate defunding their police departments. This national revolt against racism is taking place within the context of the unfolding economic depression.
Over 44 million people in the United States have now filed for unemployment benefits, 30% of home buyers missed their June housing payments and at least 20 million tenants could not pay their rent. People are being evicted from their homes in the middle of a surging pandemic with little to no action being taken by our government.
These issues share a root in capitalism, a system reliant on white supremacy that values profit over human life.
We will be taking to the streets nationwide July 25th to demand NO evictions and forclosures, NO rent payments, and NO racist police terror.
