Our government has failed to provide for working people during this pandemic–whether we are unemployed or underemployed, or working a frontline job.
Our own Senator Ron Johnson supported cutting the $600 federal supplemental unemployment benefits, saying it would be a disincentive to work- even when millions are out of work and jobs are few and far between. Senator Johnson thinks $600 a week in unemployment ($15/hr) is more than working families deserve, but is fine with millionaires and billionaires raking in money while we struggle to survive. We will join together to demand the unemployment support, hazard pay, and a living wage, so that our homes, our hunger, and our health are cared for as all working people deserve.
