We’re THRILLED to announce that Meriter nurses have REACHED A MAJOR TENTATIVE AGREEMENT! The agreement ensures that we have the time off we need to recover from the pandemic; that our sacrifices are valued; and that we have a greater say and protections moving forward. We thank all our community members, elected officials, faith leaders and union family from the bottom of our hearts for their outpouring of support. We also want to recognize the UnityPoint Health – Meriter administration for working with us through this process, and look forward to working collaboratively with them to successfully implement our new policies.
Meriter nurses are continuing to vote on the tentative agreement throughout the day, and we’ll have more details soon. We believe this agreement will be precedent-setting throughout Wisconsin and the nation, and we will stand with all our fellow nurses, caregivers and essential workers to ensure EVERYONE has these protections and a union voice!
