IFCO STANDS IN SOLIDARITY WITH OUR FAMILY AT THE PEOPLE’S FORUM

IFCO/Pastors for Peace stands in solidarity with The People’s Forum (TPF) and vehemently rejects the abuse of power and collusion recently illustrated by the New York Police Department (NYPD). As right wing reactionaries occupied the space and physically and verbally assaulted staff and guests attending an activity at the Forum, a dozen NYPD police officers stood by and passively allowed it to happen. We reject the violations of our rights to live and organize safely. TPF is an extension of the resistance work that spans the globe. Shame on the NYPD for its unlawful collusion in this attack on the sovereignty of our partners at The People’s Forum. Let it be understood that an attack on the safety of this space is an attack on all of us!! We value The People’s Forum which continues to be a critical space for  working class and marginalized communities to build unity across historic lines of division at home and abroad. Our voices will be heard and continue to be louder as we transform this moment of intimidation into momentum to unite even stronger.
Onward to the important work of building a better world. See you at The People’s Summit in Los Angeles – June 8-10https://peoplessummit2022.org/
