- Support the WGA Strike! Visit the Strike Hub to find info about context, demands, solidarity requests, and upcoming picket opportunities. Donate to the Entertainment Community Fund to support non-WGA workers impacted by the strike. (Impacted workers can apply for support here.)
- Insider Union is on strike for fair wages and benefits. The union is asking supporters to respect the picket line by refraining from clicking on Insider links, watching Insider videos, or engaging with Insider social media posts. (Freelancers should also refuse to perform scab work, of course). Follow along with the union on Twitter and contribute to the strike fund.
- Stand with union journalists by contributing to strike funds! Journalists at the Florida Times Union, are on strike after four years of negotiation without a contract; as are journalists at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette (you can also send a solidarity message or join the Pittsburgh picket line). Members of the Austin American-Statesman NewsGuild also went on strike this week.
- Telecom workers in Guam, unionized with the CWA, have been severely impacted by Typhoon Mawar. The union said: “Our union members in Guam perform crucial work in the telecom industry, maintaining undersea cables that form the backbone of our modern communication networks”; contribute to and boost their solidarity fund if you can.
