The RNC presidental debate will take place in Milwaukee August 23, 2023 at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

There will be union and other people’s protests.

AUGUST 23, 2023 MILWAUKEE PROTEST INFORMATION

Protests will take place beginning at 3 p.m. with an SEIU Wisconsin tailgate at 1037 W McKinley Avenue, Milwaukee, followed by a rally and march. Other unions and community organizations will be joining these actions. SEIU Wisconsin

At 7 p.m. Coalition to March on the RNC 2024 will have a rally and march beginning at 920 N Water Street, Milwaukee.

CANDIDATE INFORMATION

Former President Donald Trump has hinted he may skip the debate or hold a separate event the same day.

• The others who have qualified for candidacy so far are: Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, Tim Scott, Vivek Ramaswamy, Chris Christie, Doug Burgum and Mike Pence. Despite maybe different approaches, all of these candidates are anti-union, anti-LGBTQ, anti-women and oppose safety regulations, safety nets such as Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security Insurance, Unemployment Insurance and are war criminals with long track records of waging unrelenting war on poor and working people around the world. These candidates actions have caused and are causing mass suffering and numerous deaths and destroying communities. All are connected directly or indirectly to the right-wing Milwaukee-based Bradley Foundation (1400 N. Water Street, Suite 300) which now has $1 billion to fund capitalist oriented think tanks and organizations such as the Heritage Foundation, Americans For Prosperity, the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty and Moms For Liberty (and many more). North Dakota Doug Burgom is the former owner of Great Plains Software, a software company that eventually was bought by Microsoft for $1.1 billion in 1997. Burgom opposes the Indigenous as they fight fracking and other Big Oil environmental destruction such as pipelines and has signed anti-trans legislation.
As Governor of South Carolina Nikki Haley publicly supported anti union laws such as the Jim Crow based right-to-work-for-less, opposed abortion rights, is anti immigrant and in support of privatizing public services such as public education. As U.S. Ambassador, Haley, was a participant in a variety of war crimes. Tim Scott U.S. Senator from South Carolina has a long time working relationship with Nikki Haley. Both are members of the extreme right-wing network in the U.S. Scott wants to repeal the Affordable Care Act, is opposed to abortion rights and LGBTQ equality, wants to extend NAFTA, has demanded the U.S. end it’s participation in the Paris Agreement, is anti immigrant (supports “english only laws and laws similar to Arizona’s SB 1070). Scott introduced a bill that would deny food stamps to families whose incomes declined to the point of eligibility because a family member was participating in a labor strike. He is known to frequently attack Iran, China and other independent nation states by sponsoring hawkish legislation and other actions. Scott worked in the insurance and real estate industries, becoming the owner of Tim Scott Allstate and a partner in Pathway Real Estate Group, LLC.
