| Show Solidarity for the Labor Movement in the PhilippinesJoin us on Saturday October 7th at 1pm at U.E. Hall (near Union Park) where Ka Bong Labog will speak on the attacks on labor organizing in the Philippines and build solidarity and strength globally for the labor movement! Ka Bong Labog has been a militant labor organizer since the 1970s under Marcos Sr’s Martial Law, and he continues to organize to this day as attacks on workers and unions in the Philippines are heightening at an alarming rate. Unfortunately, another KMU organizer was killed just several days ago. Which is why this speaking tour is more important than ever! This forum will also be a fundraiser to support the speaking tour and to directly support organizers in the Philippines who are wrongly imprisoned. The funds will be used to support their legal fees and their immediate needs.
