Pending ratification, 32BJ SEIU commercial office cleaners have reached a tentative agreement with the Washington Service Contractors Association for a four-year contract covering 9,100 workers in DC, Baltimore, Arlington, Fairfax, Loudon, Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties.
The tentative agreement comes after hundreds of workers rallied and marched downtown demanding higher wages. 32BJ held seven bargaining sessions since June 22, ahead of the October 15 contract expiration, and will hold ratification votes in each region next week.
