Today, 6,800 UAW members at Stellantis’ Sterling Heights Assembly Plant (SHAP) joined the Stand Up Strike. Just like our surprise strike at Ford’s Kentucky Truck Plant on Oct. 11, we did not announce today’s walkout in advance.
We have told the Big Three that they have to get serious about settling fair agreements sooner rather than later. If they don’t, we’re going to keep ramping up the pressure.

As President Fain has said, the companies have the money to end this strike tomorrow. They can meet all our demands and still make billions in profits.
By striking their most profitable plants – like SHAP and Kentucky Truck – we are showing the Big Three that shortchanging your workers does not pay.
