Starbucks Workers United: Red Cup Rebellion November 16, 2023

SBWorkersUnited

I wanted to share an update on the Starbucks solidarity campaign and invite you and your crew to join striking Starbucks workers on November 16 for Red Cup Rebellion.

Starbucks workers across the country will be going on strike on Red Cup Day – Starbucks’ biggest sales day of the year – to protest unfair labor practices, and are asking allies to stand alongside them in action on November 16. If you’ve already been to previous events and actions with us, click here to find your strike!

In the last three months, we’ve hosted two national days of action and with over 1,000 actions we have effectively tripled the campaign’s footprint at Starbucks stores. Through those actions, activists have engaged with over 10,000 Starbucks customers in 47 states who have been overwhelmingly supportive of the workers’ efforts to organize for a better workplace for all baristas. We have built tremendous momentum, and this is just the beginning.

This year alone we have seen multiple times what a massive impact workers and their allies can have. We need your help to continue to demand Starbucks respect the workers demands and stop the egregious union busting tactics.

On November 16, workers plan to go from the picket line to their own visibility events at not-yet union stores, and are asking allies to join us.

We are at a critical moment in our campaign and need as many people and organizations to join us as possible. If you’re part of an organization, sign up here to join workers on the day of action and let us know how you can engage. If you’re not sure yet, stay tuned for more updates and invitations to take action soon – we’ll have lots more materials to make hosting or attending a Red Cup Rebellion strike fun and easy.

Onward,

Daisy and the team at SBWorkersUnited
