Statement from Masood Akhtar, President/Founder, We Are Many-United Against Hate
We are adding our voice to the chorus of public officials and others who have vigorously condemned Saturday’s unannounced march by nearly two dozen neo-Nazis through downtown Madison. We must come together to must make it clear that there is no place for hate-mongering directed against any group of citizens in our free society.
Saturday’s repulsive display — an abuse of our right to free speech — serves as a reminder that we, as advocates for peace and unity, must remain vigilant and prepared to confront those who seek to sow contempt and fear. This shows why our anti-hate movement is so necessary today, to confront such vile acts and speak out for peace and unity for everyone….
