A Call to the World’s Conscience: A Plea to End the War, the Suffering

In the heart of Gaza, over two million people are enduring a relentless genocidal Israeli bombardment. These attacks have caused untold suffering, especially among children, the elderly, and the most vulnerable. 

For too long, the Occupation has been emboldened by the unconditional support of major world powers, who disregard its atrocities and shield it from accountability. Their complicity in the face of injustice is a stain on the world’s conscience.

The Palestinian people of Gaza, under a brutal siege, are facing the deadly targeting of hospitals, schools, bakeries, shelters, water tanks, and power stations. At the same time they are denied the most basic necessities of life, including water, food, medicine, and fuel.

This systematic assault, a crime against humanity, is aimed at displacing the Palestinians from their land and extinguishing their cause. Israeli officials have even suggested the use of nuclear weapons to break the will of people who want to live on their land.

The people of Palestine have no choice but to turn to humanity and people of conscience for help. And we have no choice but to do everything in our power to find that help. 

Let the horror, the compassion, the shame that we feel stir our collective conscience, and let us  take action? We, the human community, the free people of the world, must all rise up to our responsibility and stop this madness. 

The world’s conscience has recognized the extent of this crime. 

Every minute that this crime is a demand that we take action. 

Every minute that this siege continues is paid for by the blood and suffering of the children in Gaza. 

Hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions, of people of conscience have been taking action in their own communities and countries. 

The genocide has not stopped. 

Now we must take action closer to Gaza. We must form the Global Conscience Convoy and end the atrocities.

This invitation is addressed to everybody, to all the forces of freedom and humanity in the world, the people, the international relief and human rights organizations, the public intellectuals, the journalists, the moral leaders   – gather with us and let us act together as the Global Conscience Convoy.
