4 more reasons to mobilize now! – Act NOW to Stop the U.S.-Israel Genocidal Apartheid!

This weekend marks four important dates in the calendar of the Palestinian liberation struggle.

#GazaGenocide

Friday, 8th December: We commemorate 36 years since the beginning of the 1st Intifada. In 1987, a collective and inclusive movement spread from Gaza across historic Palestine calling for boycotts, strikes, and popular resistance to end Israel’s colonial rule.

“In the spirit of the Palestinian Intifada, we shall endure, resist and eventually overcome. We call on all people of conscience worldwide to mobilize to end all forms of state, corporate and institutional complicity with apartheid Israel” – Mahmoud Nawajaa, BNC General Coordinator.

Saturday, 9th December:
The International Day of Commemoration and Dignity of the Victims of the Crime of Genocide and of the Prevention of this Crime.

Israel’s war crimes and crimes against humanity have been recognized as “genocide in the making” by UN experts, 880 international scholars, including prominent genocide and Holocaust experts, and human rights organisations. Still, the ICC Prosecutor, Karim Khan, has failed to take any meaningful action to stop or deter the ongoing crimes. In several countries worldwide, December 9 has also been observed as a global day of action for climate justice. We have called on land, indigenous and climate justice movements to raise their voices for Palestine and mobilize to end Israel’s #GazaGenocide.

Sunday, 10th December:
On the UN Human Rights Day, in the spirit of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which has been systematically violated by Israel throughout its existence as a settler-colonial apartheid state, we call on our supporters to heed the Palestinian call for action. Let’s organize during this weekend, peacefully disrupting business-as-usual with Israel, amplifying Palestinian demands in your mobilizations and expressions of meaningful solidarity to stop Israel’s #GazaGenocide and dismantle apartheid:
Permanent ceasefire and lifting the siege. Lawful sanctions on Israel, including a #MilitaryEmbargo. Pressure the International Criminal Court (ICC) to issue arrest warrants for Israeli leaders.
