Wisconsin Coalition for Justice in Palestine is sponsoring two protest events December 20, 2023 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin:
1.) Emergency Protest: “Genocide Joe Is Not Welcome in Milwaukee!” – President Biden will be speaking at 30th and Vliet Street. Arrive at 9 A.M. at 1334 N 35th Street.
2.) Rally and march at 6 pm on Wednesday, December 20, at Dontre Hamilton Park (Red Arrow Park), 920 N Water Street, to protest Genocide Joe’s Milwaukee visit.
Coalition demands:
- Permanent ceasefire in Gaza
- Lift the siege of Gaza
- End all USA aid to Israel
- End Israeli occupation of Palestine
- End criminalization of speech in support of Palestine
- Free all political prisoners in Israeli prisons
- Reparations and reconstruction for Gaza
- Right to return for all Palestinian refugees and exiles
President Biden, in town to promote “Bidenomics,” refuses to heed the call of millions around the U.S. and the world – stop the genocide in Palestine. While he may claim credit for the economy – one that sees working people struggle to meet basic needs – he will likely say nothing about billions given to Israel to perpetrate genocide against the people of Palestine.
The Wisconsin Coalition for Justice in Palestine calls on President Biden to demand an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and end all US aid to Israel. Genocide Joe’s policies enable a 21st century holocaust in Gaza, with over 21,000 Palestinians murdered and 1.9 million displaced. Around the United States and the world, millions protest the slaughter. The world knows without US backing, Israel’s 75-year-old brutal occupation of Palestine is not possible.
Without the US military industrial complex, the tanks and bullets that kill civilians, the white phosphorus that murders children, the bombs that destroy homes and make Gaza uninhabitable, would not be possible. The United Nations overwhelmingly called for a ceasefire and an immediate end to the carnage. The US is alone in its unequivocal support for Israel.
We stand in solidarity with Palestinians to tell Joe Biden and all war mongering politicians, as long as they continue to support Israel, the people of Milwaukee will never vote for them.
Genocide Joe has got to go!
We demand an immediate ceasefire! No more aid to Israel for its illegal occupation of Palestinian lands! Redirect our tax dollars to jobs, education, and infrastructure at home for a true economic recovery! We demand justice in Palestine and here at home!
As Biden visits, congress is considering an emergency funding bill that would increase expedited deportations of migrants, dismantle key asylum protections, and eliminate the parole process path to citizenship, while sending an estimated $14 billion to Israel. Immigration rights are human rights, and we stand in solidarity with those who are targeted by this bill. Further we condemn the additional $14 billion of proposed aid to Israel. We demand Biden and all war mongering politicians vote no on this racist, imperialist bill. Our solidarity extends to all oppressed peoples!
