| We are so excited that this year, the observed Rev. Dr. MLK, Jr. Holiday falls on his 95th birthday (1/15/24).Building Unity hopes that all Wisconsinites will celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. – not only on his birthday and the Federal Holiday in his honor, but every day – in the ways that we live and treat each other. Dr. King called on all of us to demand that our nation embrace the values of peace, justice, equality, nonviolence, worker rights, compassion, and love, and to take public action to make sure that justice is awarded to all people. He is one of history’s most powerful and important leaders. We urge all people to celebrate his amazing life by reading and listening to his writings and speeches, learning about his life, and striving to follow in his footsteps as a champion of justice for all. And, in the days to come, get out in your community and celebrate the legacy and dream of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr!
