Reserve Tuesday March 5, 2024, 6 pm. In the public comment section, there will be at least 3 speakers that will express the community’s desire for a ceasefire resolution! The RCPJ folks that have been Standing for Palestine each Saturday, were joined by Liz Fierro, Rose Ormond and Mariah Casso on December 11th. All three woman are very well informed and passionate in their desire to end the genocide in Gaza. Liz Fierro, 23 years old and the daughter of Ricardo Fierro, organized the Vigil for the Martyrs on the 30th of December at Monument Square, and the meeting & rally at Representative’s Bryan Steil’s office in Janesville, supported by Jewish Voice for Peace. She is also the organizer of this effort, nationally supported by Code Pink.
The Common Council meets at 6 pm in Room 205, at 730 Washington Ave, Racine WI, 53403.
We would like a good turnout on the 5th, to show support for a Ceasefire AND following the speakers for a ceasefire resolution, Sonali Knotek and Diane Lange will be speaking on Hospitality Center concerns.
