MADISON
Thurs Mar 21, 3 – 4 p.m. — Palestinian Mother’s Day Commemoration.  UW-Library Mall. Madison Rafah Sister City Project and Students for Justice in Palestine are organizing a day to commemorate the mothers and children martyred in Gaza. This action will involve an art installation highlighting the number of children martyred under the age of two, a memorial to the average number of mothers martyred each day (37), and a vigil from 3-4 p.m. We will also write sidewalk chalk poems on Palestinian mothers and children, data on the genocide’s effects on mothers and children, and slogans. Educational flyers will also be distributed to passersby.
We need volunteers for the day of the action, and the art build. We are also collecting donations of gently used baby clothes size 0-24mo, and medium sized teddy bears.
