Milwaukee, April 17, 2024: Palestinian Prisoner’s Day! – Shut It Down for Palestine!

THIS PALESTINIAN PRISONER’S DAY, SHUT IT DOWN FOR PALESTINE!

⏰ Wednesday, April 17th, 5:30pm

📍252 E. Highland Ave

Every year on April 17, Palestinians honor and commemorate the thousands of prisoners held captive in Israeli occupation jails by uplifting their demands for freedom.

This year, Palestinian Prisoners’ Day holds a special significance for our cause. Thousands of Palestinians have been abducted by occupation forces in Gaza and the West Bank since the beginning of this genocide and are currently being held in torturous conditions.

Most recently, Palestinian revolutionary and intellectual Walid Daqqa succumbed to these harsh conditions and was martyred in between occupation prison walls. Even before the genocide, thousands of Palestinian men, women and children have faced this harsh system, with one in five Palestinians having been arrested, many times without charge or trial through administrative detention.

Our prisoners remain the compass of our struggle and we must honor them all by demanding their immediate release now. Until all our prisoners are free, until every refugee returns home, and until the end of the occupation, we will continue to SHUT IT DOWN for Palestine!
