Exciting news from Tennessee this weekend, where an overwhelming majority of Volkswagen workers voted to join the UAW. Volkswagen workers in Chattanooga are the first Southern autoworkers outside of the Big Three to win their union. Several more plants are in the pipeline to hold union elections in the year ahead as the UAW builds on this historic breakthrough. This kind of strategic organizing is one of many reasons we’re thrilled to be hosting UAW Region 1A Director Laura Dickerson as the keynote speaker at our 78th Convention in a couple of weeks!
