UAW Labor for Palestine Stands in Solidarity with UAW 4811 Strike for Palestine and Endorses SJP Call to Immediately Expand the Strike to All UC Campuses May 26, 2024

Faculty and staff at UC campuses engaging in student-led peaceful protests have been met with violent police force and arrests at the command of UC leadership.

Last week, UAW 4811 voted to authorize a strike for retaliation and discrimination against student employees for engaging in peaceful protest.

In September 2023, the UTLA-elected House of Representatives passed a motion to support all striking workers. The Los Angeles County Federation of Labor also unanimously authorized a strike sanction.
