Screening of ‘Bad River: A Story of Defiance’ in Keshena May 28, 2024

Screening of the documentary BAD RIVER –  ….a story of defiance….
Tuesday, May 28 in Keshena
A FREE screening of Bad River is coming to the Menominee Indian High School Theater in Keshena on Tuesday evening, May 28th! Bad River chronicles the Wisconsin-based Bad River Band and its ongoing fight for sovereignty, a story which unfolds in a groundbreaking way through a series of shocking revelations, devastating losses, and a powerful legacy of defiance and resilience. All are welcome!

Doors to this free event will open at 5:30 p.m. We will serve a wild rice dish, providing an opportunity to connect with others prior to the film. The powerful feature-length documentary will begin at 6:00 p.m., holding space for discussion at the end. Attendees are encouraged to gather again for refreshments after the film, with no rush to leave this unique time together.

At least 50% of all profits are donated to the Bad River Band.

The Menominee Indian High School is located approximately 6.5 miles north of Shawano on WI-47/WI-55 on the West side of the highway. Find driving directions HERE.
