| A FREE screening of Bad River is coming to the Menominee Indian High School Theater in Keshena on Tuesday evening, May 28th! Bad River chronicles the Wisconsin-based Bad River Band and its ongoing fight for sovereignty, a story which unfolds in a groundbreaking way through a series of shocking revelations, devastating losses, and a powerful legacy of defiance and resilience. All are welcome! Doors to this free event will open at 5:30 p.m. We will serve a wild rice dish, providing an opportunity to connect with others prior to the film. The powerful feature-length documentary will begin at 6:00 p.m., holding space for discussion at the end. Attendees are encouraged to gather again for refreshments after the film, with no rush to leave this unique time together.
