Racine Coalition for Peace and Justice

Dear Friends,  

In light of the current crisis in Gaza, the Racine Coalition for Peace and Justice is holding a fundraising event, In Solidarity with Gaza, to raise money for United Nations Relief and Works Agency-USA (UNRWA-USA) and Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund. The Fundraiser is on June 29 from 11:30 – 1:30 at First Presbyterian Church, 716 College Avenue in Racine. 

Two speakers will speak on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Janan Najeeb is a Palestinian American who founded the Milwaukee Muslim Women’s Coalition and who last October organized over 60 organizations to form the Wisconsin Coalition for Justice in Palestine. Professor Rachel Ida Buff, teaches history & ethnic studies at UW-M, and is a founding member and president of Milwaukee’s chapter of Jewish Voice for Peace. They make a dynamic duo!

We will also serve Palestinian food for lunch and have Palestinian music. A silent auction will be held which will include items from Palestine.  All proceeds will go to UNRWA-USA.

Should you wish to write a check, please make your checks out to one of these organizations and send to RCPJ at 1638 Villa St., Racine, WI 53403. All collected checks will be forwarded with a message from RCPJ.

to indicate which organization you selected for a donation and to tell us whether you will be eating lunch. Please respond by June 25 so we can order the appropriate amount of food.
