Join Wisconsin Cuba Coalition Monday, July 15, 2024 at 10 am family-friendly march on RNC

Please consider & make plans to join our Wisconsin Cuba Coalition, CodePink, Peace Action and others in the anti-war contingent of this expected massive march on Monday July 15, against the Trump agenda, starting at Red Arrow Park, 920 N. Water St.. MKE 53202 at 10 AM.

Note: the MKE police and the March on the RNC organizers have now agreed on a march route, which will head south from Red Arrow Park at 12 noon on Water Street to Wisconsin Avenue, go over the river to Plankington/Dr. King drive, and then north past Highland Ave. within “sight and sound” of the RNC convention headquarters. It will then continue and return to the park.

We hope to join the Code Pink contingent by/before 9:30 AM at Old St. Mary’s Church, at Kilbourn and Broadway, and then walk to the nearby park to join in the anti war contingent. We will have signs, and you are welcome to bring Cuba-related, anti-war signs. Please plan ahead to get there early, as nearby parking will be difficult at best.

After a 10 AM press conference, RNC March Coalition endorsing groups will give very short remarks at 11 AM. Alexa Nutile for our WI Cuba Coalition is scheduled as the sixth speaker, and we hope to display a banner in front of the speakers’ stand starting by 11 AM.

Parking anywhere nearby will be difficult, so plan to get there early. Please see more info below
