Leonard Peltier turns 80 in September and has been in prison for 48+ years. After multiple falls, hospitalizations, and years of medical neglect, he is in need of an emergency medical transfer! Consider writing email messages or letters or both to each and every Senator on the Senate Judiciary Committee (see slide 2) to make these demands. Look to slide 3 to see what points to make in your email and/or letter.
For more information about Leonard Peltier and the importance of writing to the Senate Judiciary Committee go to www.freeleonardpeltiernow.org.
If you also wish to write Leonard a letter (address below), please consider the following:
– Use 22pt (big) font, otherwise he won’t be able to read your letter.
– Use a plain white envelope and a black ink pen (no gel).
– Write your return address on the envelope and in the letter.
– Use this full name, number, and address:
Leonard Peltier
#89637-132
USP Coleman I
P.O. Box 1033
Coleman, FL 33521-1033
– Do NOT use any labels or stickers on the envelope or letter.
– Do NOT send cards or photos.
Let Leonard Peltier know where you are writing from so he knows that people are writing to him from all over, even though he might not get the envelope.
Let him know that you are very disappointed with the parole denial and that you are staying with him and supporting his freedom.
Let him know that lots of people still care for him and want him free from prison.
