Take part in the 44th U.N. International Day of Peace – Saturday, Sep. 21, 2024. We are encouraging people for peace all around Wisconsin to make a commitment to do something (anything!) calling for an end to war on this day for making a global call for peace. Looking ahead, we will celebrate Indigenous People’s Day on and around Monday, October 14th.
And, we are exploring the possibility of launching a 3 ½ week “Get-Out-The-Vote-Tour” across Wisconsin at this same time. We are nonpartisan and encourage all to vote their conscience for the candidate that will best preserve our hopes for peace, justice, sustainability and the survival of our democracy.We seek to honor, show solidarity, and appreciate Wisconsin’s Indigenous People. As we recognize our history and the fact that we are on stolen land, it is important that we center Indigenous voices as we unite to defend our democracy and turn out the vote on or before Nov. 5th.
