This week a historic act of solidarity came to fruition between the people of the U.S. with our neighbors in Cuba.
During a dangerous food shortage in Cuba, caused by the U.S. blockade’s strangulating hold on the country’s economy and its ability to trade, thousands of people in the U.S. took action: donating hundreds of thousands of dollars to buy and ship wheat flour to the island.
800 tons of flour are being distributed as we speak and will provide millions of rolls of bread for the people of Cuba.
The U.S. government wants to crush the Cuban people by imposing hunger through a blockade and sanctions that make everyday life extraordinarily difficult. But, the people around the world stand with Cuba. We will defy the genocidal U.S. blockade and fight for a better future everywhere.
There’s still time to be part of this historic act!
