Organize the South!

Industry Councils

The SWA has constituted four industry councils: Service/Retail, Education Workers, Public Sector, Manufacturing.

The role of the councils is to: 1) Link workers in the same sectors together across the region, in order to exchange lessons and experiences from struggle, build a higher level of solidarity, and identify opportunities for deeper coordination on demands and activities, and 2) provide an entry point to the network for workers in a sector who reach out or we otherwise make contact with.

Please reach out if you work in one of the sectors listed above and are not already a part of the associated council. If you work in a sector that is not listed but are interested in developing a council, please also reach out!
