Gather at the Lakefront at the corner of Lincoln Memorial Dr & Lafayette for a short ceremony with Mark Denning, Oneida and Menominee. Then we will “Walk for Peace.” We will walk to the UWM campus to visit the site of the Falasteen Lawn student encampment to remember the people of Gaza and Palestine. Students from the UWM Popular University will speak.
11:00 a.m.: Lunch at the Zao Church, 2319 E Kenwood Blvd, across from the UWM Union
12:00 p.m.: Walk over to the Peace Action WI Stand for Peace at Oakland and Locust, or stay at Zao and get ready for an afternoon celebration with music and speakers.
1:00 p.m.: Social with speakers and music. Peace and Justice groups are welcome to table and be a part of the celebration.
