Peace Day Events in Milwaukee September 21, 2024

September 21, 2024 is U.N. International Day of Peace. All over the state, and most certainly in the City of Milwaukee, people from all walks of life will take part in a global call for PEACE.

Here is more information about what we are planning form Peace Day in Milwaukee:

9:30 AM
Gather at the Lakefront at the corner of Lincoln Memorial Dr & Lafayette for a short ceremony with Mark Denning, Oneida and Menominee.
10:00 AM
“Walk for Peace”
We will walk to UWM Campus, to visit the site of the Falasteen Lawn student encampment to remember the people of Gaza and Palestine. Students from the UWM Popular University will speak.
11:00 AM
Lunch at the Zao Church, 2319 E Kenwood Blvd, across from the UWM Union
12:00 PM
Walk over to the Peace Action WI Stand for Peace at Oakland and Locust, or stay at Zao and get ready for an afternoon celebration with music and speakers.
1:00 PM
Social with speakers and music. Peace and Justice groups are welcome to table and be a part of the celebration. Zao Church, 2319 E Kenwood Blvd
