| A month ago, the UN General Assembly overwhelmingly voted for imposing sanctions on Israel for the first time in 42 years! A month later, with the continued complicity of the west, led by the US,Israel’s genocide in Gaza takes new horrific turns everyday. Through its year-long genocide in Gaza, Israel has killed 228 UN staff members, destroyed UN infrastructure, attacked UNRWA, and Israel’s outgoing ambassador has called for UN Headquarters to be “wiped off the face of the Earth.” Why should a regime that perpetrates genocide and apartheid and violently attacks the UN continue to be its member? | We need to keep reminding decision-makers that the historic resolution of 18th September 2024 cannot remain a promise on paper! It needs to be turned into reality, and it includes the suspension of Israel from the UN. Let’s remind the institution of its responsibility!
