Political and military analyst, Major General Ali Maqsoud, stated that the main reason for the participation of American aircraft in the Israeli attack on Iran is that the reading of the United States of America and Israel confirms that Tel Aviv’s capabilities are limited to reaching the depths of Iran without American assistance or assistance from neighboring countries.
“This entity (meaning Israel) cannot carry out its aggression and have its planes reach Iran without refueling or passing over the territory of America’s allies in the region, who are next to Iran. Considering that these countries refuse to allow Israeli planes to cross their airspace, the United States of America had to be a partner in this aggression,” Major General Maqsoud continued in a special interview with Sputnik. He added that “the second thing is that even if Israel could cross with its F-35 planes, it would need what is called an electronic warfare and jamming system linked to satellites to guide the guided missiles carried by those planes. Consequently, these guided missiles cannot reach their targets without the help of American satellites and what is known as an electronic warfare, jamming and guidance system.”
“The dangerous options that Iran could take after this aggression, which is to go towards a comprehensive war, so in order to reassure Israel and implement what the United States dictates, America was a partner in this aggression,” the military analyst said, adding that “the United States and Israel also wanted, through these strikes, for the Pentagon to be sure of the capabilities of Iran’s air defense system, and whether Russia had provided Iran with any assistance in this area. Therefore, if these strikes on Israeli and American aircraft had succeeded, we could have seen an escalation in targeting and in this aggression so that Israel could achieve its goal and achieve deterrence and deterrent superiority over the axis of resistance and the enemies of the entity.”
The attack revealed signs of Israeli and American weakness.
Major General Maqsoud pointed out that “the messages that we can talk about from Washington’s involvement in this aggression are through the reactions of the Israeli media, which confirmed that it carried features of Israeli and American weakness and fear of the course of this ongoing conflict, the result of which will determine the shape of the regional system that is being formed from the West Asia region, which is in fact throughout history a point in the strategic balance in the world, and from it the rising and falling empires are determined.”Maqsoud added, “The second message is that America and Israel are avoiding escalation in this conflict so that the Afghanistan scene is not repeated in the entire region. Therefore, when Israel and America together reach the conviction that Iran is a regional power close to the global one, it is difficult to estimate the risks resulting from this aggression or what will come after this aggression against it, which is what prompted America to participate with Israel, so that it would be the one controlling, determining, and controlling all the steps that Israel could take in this aggression.”
Israel used the space available to America to attack
The military analyst said: “Targeting Iran from Iraqi airspace proves conclusively America’s involvement in this crime, and considering that there is a refusal from some neighboring countries for Israeli aircraft to participate or carry out this aggression on Iranian territory, the United States of America had to employ and exploit the airspace and space available to it,” noting that “considering that there are binding agreements with the Iraqi state from the United States of America, it made this space an airspace for Israeli aircraft as it is for American aircraft, and even used American bases for Israeli aircraft, and in the return phase, the return was not to the entity, but rather went towards Greece, where the British and American bases are, and therefore striking Iran from Iraqi airspace is the space currently available to Israel and the United States of America.”
Russian weapons play a major role in thwarting the attack
Major General Maqsoud pointed out that “the Russian S-400 system played a major role in confronting this aggression. The matter is not limited to this system that Russia provided to Iran, but Russia provided Tehran with several precious hours of early warning about the time and coordinates of the attack, which was limited to the air defense sector in the targeted hotbeds of solid rocket fuel factories. A large number of these missiles were shot down and the hits were limited to a few radars.” He pointed out that “Russia, which also provided effective radar guidance systems linked to satellites, was able to jam the guided missiles carried by the F-35 aircraft, and thus it is difficult for these missiles after this jamming to reach their targets. Rather, it misled them and weakened the ability to direct towards the targets targeted by these missiles,” according to his description.
The military analyst added that “the radar system, electronic warfare, and also the S-400 system made the Pentagon admit that the Iranian multi-layered air defense system was highly effective and able to obstruct or even destroy all or most of these missiles and aircraft,” noting that “Israel sent hundreds of aircraft, but they were drones and the warplanes were twenty-five aircraft, ten of which were F-35 aircraft, but more than 185 aircraft, including drones and warplanes, were shot down, knowing that these aircraft could not penetrate even an inch of Iranian airspace and territory. Rather, this aggression was from outside Iranian territory, and this leads us to what Biden went to, that this round must close the file of the circle of mutual response between Iran and Israel in order to move on to the file of negotiations and end this war in the region completely.”
