The UN General Assembly Overwhelmingly votes to end the Cuban Blockade

Once again, the UN General Assembly voted to demand that the US end its blockade against Cuba.  At the General Assembly meeting, 187 countries voted against the blockade and only the isolated US and Israel voted for it.

“The blockade against Cuba is an economic, financial and trade war which qualifies as genocide,” said Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez.  But genocide is something that the US and Israel know well as they are conducting a genocide against the Palestinian people right now.

In New York City and other areas people rallied in support of Cuba and against the US blockade.  In New York City, UNAC Administrative Committee member Richie Merino of the Bronx Antiwar Coalition spoke for UNAC.  His comments are here.
