Rally on December 11, 2024 to defend free speech and student and worker activism in response to the administration’s efforts to punish nine Milwaukee students for standing in solidarity with Palestine. These charges are part of a broader campaign to try and silence dissent and intimidate activists who challenge UWM’s ties to the state of Israel and the U.S. role in genocide. The rally will also address the case of SDS member Robby Knapp, who faces charges for protesting on campus. There will also be updates about the public and press on the attempted intimidation tactics used by the UW-Milwaukee Police Department. Students and Workers at UWM demand that the administration drop all charges and respect the rights of students!
