Madison, March 4, 2025: General Assembly & Wage Theft Discussion

Just a friendly reminder—our most important meeting of the year, the General Assembly, is TOMORROW, March 4, at 5 PM at the Labor Temple (1602 S. Park St, Room 201 A&B, Madison). This event combines our Annual Board Meeting with the Members’ Assembly, where we’ll review 2024, discuss plans for 2025, and elect new board members. Don’t miss it—there will also be food and music afterwards!

During the General Assembly, we’ll invite Worker Justice Wisconsin members and allies to discuss why wage theft is so prevalent in the U.S. and why immigrants are especially targeted.

We’ll also encourage everyone to join the wage theft education campaign, which aims to ensure every worker in Dane County knows how to read their pay stub and understands their right to be paid for their labor, regardless of immigration status.
Before the meeting, we invite you to read the recent Cap Times article about our wage theft educational campaign and its leader, Socorro Cortez, WJW Organizer.
