ACT-UP NATION WANTS YOU to join the fight against Trump’s deadly attacks on HIV Prevention and Treatment here in the U.S. and globally. Since 1987, ACT-UP (AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power) has led the fight against the fear, stigma and neglect that has resulted in 41 million deaths globally and 800,000 in the U.S. HIV/AIDS is not over and we refuse to go back to the nightmare days of the 1980’s.
Trump’s white supremacist, anti-racist and anti-LGBTQ government
has already cut dozens of successful programs, dismantled the CDC’s HIV programs and withdrawn critical assistance globally – just after decades of resistance, preventable deaths and sacrifice have brought us closer than ever before to ending this plague once and for all!
The five remaining ACT-UP chapters in New York City, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Boston and Pittsburgh (and soon, Denver and Bangor, ME) are reaching out to you, ready to help you organize a chapter of ACT-UP anywhere in the U.S. At this dangerous time. We must expand this struggle for survival on a national basis – and soon!
