| GET READY FOR MAY DAY 2026: No Work. No School. No Shopping. A Day of Truth, Solidarity, and Power! |
| This May Day, immigrant workers, students, and allies are coming together across Wisconsin to take action for a Day Without Immigrants. Together, we refuse a system that profits from division and fear. That means no work, no school, and no shopping. May Day is about the dignity of work and the power of people. Immigrant justice is about the dignity of humanity and the right to belong. These are not separate fights—they are one movement against exploitation, exclusion, and fear. We have all witnessed the authoritarian attacks on the working class. Our tax dollars are being used to fund wars and family-separating mass deportations, when our hard-earned dollars should be funding public services like healthcare, education, and a strong small business economy. We know solidarity and collective action are the answer to defending our rights and keeping our communities and immigrant neighbors safe. When we show up together, we protect each other and demonstrate our power. It takes courage to stand up, but courage has always been our tradition. It takes courage to stand up, but courage has always been our tradition. From past generations to today, it’s how we win. Accept the invitation to join us on May 1st. |
