Greetings from Italy, where I’m with the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, preparing the next group of boats to join a global flotilla challenging Israel’s illegal blockade of Gaza. As activists and organizers, we know there is no single tactic that wins justice. From confronting a naval blockade at sea, to sharing lived realities, to organizing and pressuring elected officials— we need people engaged at every level of the struggle.
In February, I had the honor of leading Eyewitness Palestine’s Black Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC) delegation. Like the delegations I’ve led before, it was a powerful reminder of what happens when people witness the reality on the ground and return transformed— clearer, more committed, and ready to act. Eyewitness Palestine plays a vital role in making that transformation possible, cultivating informed advocates who carry this work forward in sustained and meaningful ways.
| I’m really looking forward to joining the Eyewitness Palestine 25th Anniversary Benefit this year. I’m especially excited to be in conversation alongside Chris Smalls, Noura Erakat, Abby Martin, and Mother Agapia Stephanopolous— fearless voices that continue to challenge, inspire, and lead.Supporting Eyewitness Palestine is an investment in building a movement grounded in truth, accountability, and collective liberation. I hope to see you there! In solidarity,Huwaida ArrafHuman Rights AttorneyCo-Founder, International Solidarity Movement (ISM) and Free Gaza Movement |

Lama will also be sharing her paintings that she created after her incarceration and house arrest, now on display in Ramallah.
