| Dear Friends, In less than 2 weeks it will be one of my favorite holidays – Juneteenth! Building Unity chose this day to launch a 137-day tour from 6/19 – 11/3! Starting with Juneteenth, we will be on the road every weekend for 20 straight weekends! When you can, please join us on the tour! Given the continually worsening state of affairs and the evergrowing list of attacks posed by U.S. leaders, many of us are asking, “How do we unite and harness the full potential of our people-power? We are the majority. Things have clearly gone way too far! This tour presents a powerful vehicle for building our statewide unity, our movement-building infrastructure, and our focus on going all in for very powerful results in this election year. This tour is being co-created by a wide number of groups, coalitions, and communities all across Wisconsin. Please do what you can to bring more people, talent, and excitement to this tour. With all of us promoting and supporting it, it will grow into a powerful statewide celebration and expression of our many emerging transformations. At every tour stop, we will video record our various explorations into collective power-building and transformation. Basic information about the Tour:Launching on Juneteenth (6/19), the UnityMobile and an ever-changing collection of other vehicles will travel through every region of the state in the following 137 days that bring us to election day – Nov. 3, 2026. With the help and input of local and statewide partners, we will create a variety of tour stops events that could include this options and more:“Town Hall Meetings” candidate forums teach-ins, skill shares, and trainings community-building gatherings, voter education and engagement activities, art projects musical sharings, press conferences film showings community service projects. Our message is clear and consistent: “We must end war and all forms of state-sanctioned violence; invest in meeting human needs; transition to a sustainable, green economy that provides all working people with living wages; and defend our democracy.” We are prioritizing tour stop events in all 12 Wisconsin sovereign Indigenous nations.
