The whole world is being dragged into an unprecedented level of militarization, due to the crisis of imperialism. This 3 part webinar series consists of online exchanges between people on the front lines of today’s escalating US military expansion and hyper militarization – focusing on Asia, the Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean. We will highlight grassroots resistance to U.S. wars today, on how the people in the Global South are being affected today by major rivalry and build up to war between the U.S. and China. The goal is to strengthen solidarity among the different fights and lay the basis for joint campaigns against U.S. war build up, exercises and bases and to support “U.S. Out” campaigns. Hear from speakers from Hawai’i, Guam, Okinawa and Japan on the particular forms of war preparations taking place and particular strategies of resistance. UU. y en las luchas por la independencia. El mundo entero se ve arrastrado a un nivel de militarización sin precedentes, debido a la crisis del imperialismo. Esta serie de seminarios web de tres partes consiste en intercambios en línea entre personas que se encuentran en la primera línea de la actual escalada de la expansión militar y la hipermilitarización de EE. UU., con un enfoque en Asia, el Pacífico, América Latina y el Caribe. Destacaremos la resistencia de base a las guerras actuales de EE. UU. y cómo la población del Sur Global se ve afectada hoy en día por la gran rivalidad y la escalada hacia la guerra entre EE. UU. y China.
