We are a part of the national Bail Out The People movement which formed in 2008 to fight against the bailouts to the banks. Since then we have been in numerous fights against poverty, racism and war. We demand that the people be bailed out not the banks, a moratorium on all foreclosures, a federal jobs program now and other demands. We have been participating in the Wisconsin people's uprising, Bloombergville in NYC and numerous other people's actions.

Wednesday, 12/7, 7-9 pm, open discussion in the program room of Harmony Cafe. This week, Jeff Manske will take the lead in a discussion of Money and Politics. The discussion is to help with writing a letter to the editor on the subject. Please bring your ideas and your knowledge of what the people of the Fox Valley care about.
Sunday, 12/11, 1-3 pm, General Assembly in the Conference Room of Harmony Cafe.
Monday, 12/12, 7-9 pm, Teach-In at the Appleton Public Library, with David Dodd. David will lead a discussion after a showing of the PBS Frontline episode, “Inside the Meltdown,” about the collapse of the US credit system in 2008. As well as the events of 2008, we will discuss how the events have affected the economy since then, and whether a similar collapse could happen again.

Occupy Milwaukee To Host Teach-In Dec. 6, Stop Foreclosures Now!

By October of 2008, over 936,439 US residents were forced into foreclosure. Tearing people from their homes, sending working families into endless amounts of debt and financial ruin, this crisis was NOT an accident. It was caused by the greed of the plutocrats on Wall Street and the negligence of their puppet government.
On December 6th, Occupy Milwaukee will be hosting a teach-in on the Foreclosure Crisis and it’s local impact on the people of Milwaukee.
We will also discuss ways in which the 99% are fighting back and ideas for how we can locally take a stand against the injustices caused by the 1%!
Join us Tuesday, December 6th, 2011 for the National Day of Action to Stop Foreclosures!
