About wibailoutpeople

We are a part of the national Bail Out The People movement which formed in 2008 to fight against the bailouts to the banks. Since then we have been in numerous fights against poverty, racism and war. We demand that the people be bailed out not the banks, a moratorium on all foreclosures, a federal jobs program now and other demands. We have been participating in the Wisconsin people's uprising, Bloombergville in NYC and numerous other people's actions.

Bail Funds Needed: Madison Uprising #JusticeForGeorgeFloyd

This past week cities across the nation have united with protests in Minneapolis for #JusticeForGeorgeFloyd. Today as Madison joins in solidarity with people fighting for Black lives across the nation, the police have begun making a series of arrests.

Local activists from Freedom Inc , Urban Triage , PSL and FreeThe350BailFund are asking for support in raising funds to bail out protesters. We will also be raising funds to cover their legal expenses.

People are being arrested right now – Saturday, May 30th, 2020. We need funds immediately and in the current days as we expect protests to continue.

Madison stands with Minneapolis and cities around the nation in demanding an end to police brutality against black bodies. We demand an end to police terrorism in black communities.

We stand with the demand of Minneapolis protesters to reinvest the $100 billion spent on policing nationwide in alternative emergency response programs.

Justice for George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, Sean Reed, and countless others.

Thank you for time and thank you for standing in solidarity.
