About wibailoutpeople

We are a part of the national Bail Out The People movement which formed in 2008 to fight against the bailouts to the banks. Since then we have been in numerous fights against poverty, racism and war. We demand that the people be bailed out not the banks, a moratorium on all foreclosures, a federal jobs program now and other demands. We have been participating in the Wisconsin people's uprising, Bloombergville in NYC and numerous other people's actions.

Kenosha, Feb. 5, 2020: Rally for Chrystul Kizer at UW-Parkside

Rally for Chrystul Kizer at UW-Parkside

5 – 6:30 P.M.

District Attorney Michael Graveley is an occasional instructor at UW Parkside and is teaching Criminal Law this semester.

He is also remorselessly prosecuting Chrystul Kizer, a young Black teenager who was defending herself from rapist and child trafficker Randy Volar, a 35 year old white man. Volar threatened, sexually abused, and trafficked Chrystul and she ended up killing him in self defense. She is now facing a life in prison.

Graveley has the power to drop charges, but he continues to press on, slandering Chrystul on social media and in the court room. Join us for a rally at UW Parkside, on the first day of Graveley’s class, to demand that he drop the charges.

Plurinational State of Bolivia: Revolution and Indigenous Resistance

https://bit.ly/30P9LWN

Supporters of Bolivian ex-president Evo Morales (not pictured) attend an event to mark the 14th anniversary of Plurinational State Foundation Day, in Buenos Aires, Argentina January 22, 2020.

The Day of the Plurinational State of Bolivia is celebrated on Jan. 22. Eleven years have passed since 2009, when the country’s so-called “re-foundation” was carried out, led by the first Indigenous president, Evo Morales. That day marked the beginning of a new political, social and economic horizon for the Andean nation.

The process of transition to a new state was approved in a constitutional referendum on Jan. 25, 2009, with 61.43 percent of the votes and a historical turnout of 90.26 percent, and was promulgated on Feb. 7 of the same year.

However, in 2010, Morales officially declares Jan. 22 as the official day of the Plurinational State of Bolivia.

This day, the South American country celebrates the approval of a New Political Constitution in which the state leaves behind its traditional model of Republic, and the legacy of Spanish colonization, to give way to the Plurinational State that is ruled by the principles of unity, community, and respect for the plurinational law, according to the new document.

A “free, independent, sovereign, democratic, intercultural, decentralized and autonomous” State that harbors new political figures in the structures of power as well as in the leadership of the State: the Indigenous and Campesino peoples….

Milwaukee, January 27, 2020: Coalition to March on the DNC Press Conference

Press Conference at City Hall

6 P.M., Milwaukee City Hall, 200 E Wells Street

The Coalition to March on the DNC is announcing our intent to file a lawsuit against Mayor Tom Barrett and the City of Milwaukee.

In the spring of 2019 the Coalition to March on the DNC submitted a request to the City of Milwaukee for a permit. The City Permitting Office under Mayor Tom Barrett has failed to deliver this permit.

Mayor Tom Barrett is spending tens of millions on welcoming Wall Street billionaires and the Democratic National Committee, but is refusing us a permit to march. We want the permit now!

The Coalition is consulting civil rights attorneys to sue the City over this denial of basic democratic rights. We know Mayor Tom Barrett, the Milwaukee Police and the Secret Service have been meeting for six months yet have failed to provide us a permit or even talk to us.

Come join us at the Rotunda in City Hall!
