About wibailoutpeople

We are a part of the national Bail Out The People movement which formed in 2008 to fight against the bailouts to the banks. Since then we have been in numerous fights against poverty, racism and war. We demand that the people be bailed out not the banks, a moratorium on all foreclosures, a federal jobs program now and other demands. We have been participating in the Wisconsin people's uprising, Bloombergville in NYC and numerous other people's actions.

Chicago, Feb. 20: Building a Movement to Fight Racism, Police Terror & the Capitalist Prison System

Building a movement to fight racism, police terror & the capitalism prison system

Black and Brown people in the United States live in a brutal police state, subject to terror, incarceration, violence, or death on a daily basis. We have seen inspiring resistance, from Black Lives Matter to the heroic fight back by Latino youth against ICE. How can we build and strengthen this movement? What will it take to win?

Join these Black Liberation Movement veterans, community organizers, and activists for a community discussion:

•Pam Africa – of the MOVE Organization, Millions for Mumia Abu Jamal
•Lamont Lilly – Vice Presidential candidate of Workers World Party
•Chairman Fred Hampton Jr – of the Prisoners of Concience Committe/Black Panther Party Cubs
•Dorothy Pinkney – wife of Michigan political prisoner Rev. Edward Pinkney
•Daphne Jackson – Chicago community freedom fighter (and other speakers fighting the U.S. raids and deportations of migrants and other people’s struggles TBA)

The event is free and open to the public.

Act NOW To Stop Water Privatization in Wisconsin

On Thursday morning Jan. 27, a vote will be held in committee on a bill that paves the way for the privatization of Wisconsin’s water. Apparently our politicians have learned absolutely nothing from the ongoing and tragic situation in Flint, Michigan.

Please call these members of the Senate Workforce Development Committee and tell them that we do not want what happened in Flint to happen here in Wisconsin.

Senator Roger Roth (Chair) (608) 266-0718 Sen.Roth@legis.wisconsin.govSenator Richard Gudex (Vice Chair) (608) 266-5300 Sen.Gudex@legis.wisconsin.govSenator Duey Stroebel (608) 266-7513 Sen.Stroebel@legis.wisconsin.govSenator Chris Larson (608) 266-7505 Sen.Larson@legis.wisconsin.govSenator Julie Lassa (608) 266-3123 Sen.Lassa@legis.wisconsin.gov
